The essential elements in Supply chain management (SCM) is the management of business systems and having an effective relationship with supplier, in this course we will cover the essential elements to qualify for the Certificate of Procurement and supply operations. It includes the movement and storage of ingredients, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption. Interconnected or interlinked networks, channels and node business are involved in the provision of products and services required by end customers in a supply chain Supply chain management has been defined as the "design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, synchronizing supply with demand and measuring performance globally.

We will in this course look in detail at the process of procuring medicines from the global market so as to provide for a reliable source of medicines to treat patients in primary and secondary care.
